So when I was in California for my Grandma's 80th B-Day Bash and my Bro. In-Laws Baptism I heard about this awesome "Fitness Challenge" my SIL/Memzy was participating in. And since I love to copy almost EVERYTHING she does I ripped it off of her and took it home and decided to host one of my own. It entails a 12 week partner fitness/nutrition challenge all based on points. The team at the end of the challenge with the most points wins $$$$. You have to exercise daily, eat fruits & veggies everyday and drink a lot of water with some other challenges and surprises along the way. So I am now 1/2 through the challenge and I think my partner/BFF and I are doing pretty good but I am a little discouraged...to say the least. For example, last week we woke up EVERY morning at 4:30 am drug our tired butts down to the Gym just to get the crap kicked out of them at some class where you feel like you are a live rat in a science experiment to see how much pain you can endure in 1 hour without falling over dead. Then at the end of my week from H*** I don't even lose 1 stinkn' pound. So I guess the reason for this post is to draw some on inspiration from you. I know there are some of you out there who know just what I need to hear and can help me get through the last 6 weeks of this challenge. I would really like to have these kind of results. Wouldn't you?

It's all muscle. Actually, I have the same problem, so I am just going to check back and hear some much needed advice myself.
Oh yeeeah baby! Here we go: Firstly of all, Hot Pants has a point, muscle doesn't weigh more than fat but it takes up less mass than fat does. In short, have you measured with the tape measure recently? I went through the same thing with the weight and then my partner reminded me to check and I had lost 6 inches! (overall of course) So, get that puppy out. Secondly of all (<-that is making me laugh) you have to remember that someimes result come slowly. Otherwise the whole world would be on diets if it were so easy. And third off, you didn't have anything to lose to begin with. So there. If you want results like the biggest loser you'll need to first gain about 150 pounds and then try to go on a diet. Plus the challenge can be won as long as you do all the other stuff that makes you healthy without losing an incredible amount of "pounds". My partner was really skinny to start off with and she only lost like 6 pound the whole time but we still did EVERY challenge and got EVERY point we could possibly try to get. Winners!!! You can do it too.
And ps. you can copy everything I do as much as you want. Highest form of flattery right?
Why did the nurse delete her comment? I was gonna say, "and she's a nurse". Dangit.
I was going to tell you that you have to start out a whole lot heavier, but Memzy kinda stole that one. I guess I copy her too. I don't have a shred of advice except maybe watch your salt. I heard it makes it hard to loose weight.
Liposuction? Just kidding. You are skinny and beautiful and are healthy...what more could you want? Just watch the biggest loser tomorrow night and you'll feel much better.
I think you already look AWESOME. I am still trying to get motivated. I did quit drinking my noon o'clock pepsi. Haven't lost a pound. That makes me really question why I quit in the first place?
Amen to Memzy. You want results, go and gain a bunch of weight, then diet.
You really do look better. I can see it. I really really can.
And you are seriously so awesome. Thanks so much for helping me yesterday! You rock rock rock!!!
Two words: Slim Fast. Do you get points for that? It has Bob Green's "best life" seal of approval. And ditto on the "your not fat anyway" theme. I bet you have tons of energy and are super healthy now.
Annie, you can't see that drastic of results, cuz you didn't start off near as big as Alli did on the Biggest Loser. So of course losing weight when you are already skinny is going to be hard. I say keep on working out and eating healthy and just know that you are an inspiration to the rest of us. Good Luck!
Probably becasue you don't have any weight to lose!! I get what you mean though. It seems like I work and work and nothing and then all of a sudden I will drop 5 pounds. Keep up the work!
I can top that! I have lots of weight to lose and can't get it off after lots of suffering. But my heart still goes out to you even though you are skinny enough and don't need to lose.
Have an organ removed, say, a gall bladder. You'll drop 5 lbs real quick. Dang, I knew I should've hopped on that challenge.
One thing I've heard is that if you're overdoing it will be hard to drop weight and you'll just be tired and frustrated. For example, people who are training for marathons often don't lose any weight.
I'd say the problem is you don't have any stinkin' weight to lose in the first place, you hot mama!
I always make myself feel better when I am working out by saying the muscle weighs more than fat. You're just turning in to superwoman, that's all!
Super proud of you and Anna by the way, you two are awesome. Even more impressive that you go at a very unearthly hour to the gym.
Okay, Anna when you are starting your challenge already looking like the final picture of the girl who won Biggest Looser last season, than there is not much to give. I think you should be very happy with the way you look, because you are beautiful and very fit!!! I don't have any suggestions except, you could train for a marathon, the training is brutal. Now that I am not training for one though I have put a lot of weight back on. I guess I need to find another race to run in.
Hey ya B.F.F.... Would you please drop 5 lbs so we can win?? Just kidding. Its unanimous, you are freakin' skinny already... but don't worry, I will up my exercise an extra hour a day so we can win the challenge!! (yeah right) I've got plenty to lose.... we're totally covered:)
