3 Days Till All Hell Brakes Loose!

In 3 days we will be having a sibling get together at our house. Can you say complete craziness and fun? There will be 14 adults & 18 kids all under the same roof, and we can't wait. My best memories growing up are spending time with our cousins, especially around Christmas. I can't wait for my kids to have the same fond memories of there cousins. I want to take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas, and to all my siblings drive safe and we'll see you soon.

Happy 8th Birthday Micah

I can't believe it, but my boy is 8 years old today. Time has really flown by. I can't imagine our family without Micah. He has ALWAYS put a smile on my face and those around him. He is such an easy kid and tries to enjoy life to it's fullest. He is famous in our house for his one liners and LOUD voice. We are very proud of him and his decision to be baptised. I love you Micah and am so thankful your our boy.

Happy Birthday Little Brother

Today is my youngest baby brothers Birthday. He is the ripe old age of 17. I was a freshman in college when he was born. I distinctly remember the first time I saw him in the hospital. He was lying there but naked and man was that boy endowed, if you know what I mean. My mom loved making costumes for him and my little sister who was only 21 months older than him. I loved this costume she made for him. It was probably his first Halloween and he is Sebastian from the Little Mermaid, love the red dye in your hair. (Molly was the Little Mermaid of course.) I know he still loves dressing up and will appreciate this flashback. Love you little Sambo and hope you have a great one.

FHVD

I chose this picture for all my Bailey peeps out there. I love this picture for so many reasons. This is one of my last memories of the Bailey family together before Grandpa died. We were at the Mesa, AZ Temple Visitors Center. What a reunion that was, and boy have things changed. I would love to hear any comments from those of you who were actually old enough to remember this reunion. Thanks for the memories.

Christmas Cards

I love getting and giving Christmas Cards. It is one of my most favorite things about Christmas. Today I finally received my very first Christmas Cards of 2007. I have been waiting for this moment since Dec. 1st. My awesome SIL's Memzy/Emily & Cheryl were my very first arrivals. They were both so cute and creative and literally put a smile on my face. I have already displayed them on my cute Card holder in my Kitchen. I have to admit, it is a bit of a status symbol for me to be able to display the Christmas cards we receive. What can I say, it makes me feel loved. I have put some extra thought into my Christmas Cards this year and am so proud of how they turned out. Hint: If you send me a Christmas Card this year you will be lucky enough to receive one of my special cards, along with my yearly update/brag on the fam. Thanks again to my SIL's for the Christmas Cards, I loved them. Be waiting anxiously by your mail box for mine.

FHVD

Okay, I have to say a few things about this video. This is the 1st time I have ever put an old home video on my blog and it took me a few hours to figure it out, but I did.(Good thing there was nothing I wanted to watch tonight and the kids could take care of themselves.) This is one of my most favorite videos of all time. Blythe had just turned 3 and I had put her into this little dance class in Bakersfield. She loved it! This was the video of her 1st recital and I believe it was in Dec. of 2004. She has always been a girly girl and loves putting lip gloss and lipstick on. She would always try and kiss Grandma Waite hoping to get some of her lipstick on her lips. We had no idea of the fact that she had smuggled her own lip gloss into her leotard before the recital. It was so funny how she started to pretend putting it on and then went "wait I think I might just have some on me." For the record she was completely humiliated when she saw me viewing the video. She has no recollection of the event, but now You will. Enjoy my 1st Video for FHVD!

I've Been Sick!

I have been so sick and feel like I have been in a come for a month. I wake up and there's a foot of snow on the ground outside my kids look like orphans and the house looks like it's been hit by a tornado. That's what getting strep and doing nothing about it until you can't stand will do to you. I did get a good laugh from the nurse. I opted for the penicillin shot instead of a prescription. She walks in the room with this huge needle and says "I need to give this to you in your butt MUSCLE." I laughed out loud and pulled my pants down. There ain't no MUSCLE down there missy, but she shot away. It's Sunday and I'm feeling much better. I missed out on tons this weekend and am sad about that but glad to be back on the mend. Brigg & Hayden had there first wrestling tournament this weekend. Brigg took 1st & Hayden took 3rd. I'm very happy it's finally December (and I don't have to hear that stupid song every time I pull up my blog.) Hope you all are doing well. I'm hoping to find a great pic or video for tomorrow so stay tuned.

Star Sighting

It's true, I had a star sighting today. For those of you who still watch Survivor, this season they are in China and there is a self professed Gay Mormon on the show. He is still in the running for the million dollars. We were at the University Mall in Provo today doing a little shopping when I sighted him. I looked right at him and said "That's the guy from Survivor." He looked right at me and then turned around and walked away. From what I could tell no one else seemed to recognize him What's that all about? The other thing is for some reason I expected him to recognize ME. I guess watching all that reality TV has left me in not so reality.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This was some video I took of Blythe's Kindergarten Thanksgiving program. (She's the one beating the drum in the back row on the end who drops her drum.) You read right...here in Utah they still let the kids dress up like Indians (not Native Americans) and Pilgrim's and perform ritual dances and songs on the school stage for their parents. It was actually a very cute and tastefully done program.

What the Butler's are thankful for this Thanksgiving.(I asked the kids to tell me few things they were thankful for this is what I got unrehearsed.)

Anna-"I'm thankful for so many things this year but mostly for my Family, the Gospel, our Health, Home and for Trent who has been able to support our family through self-employment for the past 2 years."

Trent-"I'm thankful for my beautiful wife and my dog Sunny."(A man of many words, but good taste.)

Brigg-"I'm thankful for my Mom, food and books...and my looks."

Hayden-"I'm thankful for food, T.V., and the Patriots" (A very shallow child.)

Micah-"I'm thankful for shelter, the Navy, food and vehicles." (I'm not sure where that came from but again that's Micah.)

Blythe-"I'm thankful for my Mom and my family."

Tucker-"I'm fankful for my famawee."(Translation FAMILY)

We want to wish Grandma Bailey a Happy Birthday today. We love you and miss you very much and hope you have wonderful birthday today with lots of food and family. Thank you for being such an example to us.

I AM SO MAD!

I just have to vent because I just wasted the last two months watching the Bachelor and then you know what that guy did...He didn't choose either of them. I was so mad. I can't believe they even went ahead and aired the entire season. I know many of you are thinking I am stupid for even watcing the show in the first place but come on it's a reality comedy. These girls get so into this guy, they don't even know, and have emotional breakdowns over there "brake-ups". It is so funny, they are so funny, I am so mad. There is supposed to be some f0llow up tonight where he comes face to face with the girls but I don't even want to watch it...I say I don't but I will.

Family Home Video/Picture Night!

Waite Family Hawaii Trip 1984?

This was our first big trip on a plane as kids to Hawaii. I have to say that it was one of my most favorite trips as a kid. As you can see it was pre Molly & Sam. Believe me when I say Molly & Sam have both had there fair share of trips around the world (post Anna, Tim, Sherod etc.) I really think we all look pretty "Groovin'" in this picture. I believe we were standing outside the condo where we were staying. Love the cool shorts and glasses Tim. Emily looks pissed about something (probably her new haircut.) I'm just glad I didn't I have bangs in THIS picture. We must have just been to some sort of reunion (refer to Sherods shirt.) Amanda and Andy were to young to look anything but cute. Love ya guys!

T.V.

Okay, it's been a real hard decision on what to write about this week but here goes. Because watching T.V. is the highlight of my day (except when my dear husband comes home from work...that's for you honey) I thought I would write about a few of my feelings on what I have seen this week.

TOP TEN

1. What the heck with Prison Break. I love this show but what is going on. Monday they announced the next season wouldn't start up again till Jan. Is that because of the whole writers strike going on? I was so MAD. Now what am I going to watch on Mondays? Just kidding I have other stuff I can watch.

2. I was so glad they finally got rid of that fat girl Amy (oh wait they're all fat) on The Biggest Loser. She bugged me so bad and she was such a B**** Way to go Isabeau for kicking her off.

3. I felt so sorry for Micheal last night on the The Office. He looked so pitiful, I almost felt bad for laughing so hard.

4. What the heck happened to the old Dr. Phil. I just can't seem to keep from flipping the channel when he's on. Not so good anymore.

5. Please tell me I'm not the only one who still watches Survivor ,15 seasons people, and wants to put their kid on the next season of Kid Nation. I love those shows. Kid Nation is a family night watch for us.

6. Would you Mormons stop voting for Marie Osmond on Dancing With The Stars? She has a great smile but come on, enough is enough.

7. I love the show Friday Night Lights. I know it sounds weird but for some crazy reason it makes me reminisce about the old days...I never had.

8. You know you shouldn't be watching it when you have to wait for your kids to go to bed, so for that I love Desperate House Wives. Nothing imparticular, but I find it a great hour of mindless TV.

9. Chef Gorden Ramsey is so mean and boy can he swear like a sailor, but I'm telling you his show Kitchen Nightmares is so funny. We love this show. The people who sign up for this are so stupid. What where they thinking...oh wait, they weren't because they are so stupid.

10. The Bachelor is another guilty pleasure. If he doesn't pick Jenny this week I am going to cry, I am.

Now you all know how much TV I watch, can you believe I get anything done around here. I do have to say that I watch most of them after hours on my DVR and fast forward through all the commercials...if your doing the math.

Happy 14th Anniversary Trent

It's been 14 years since I married the man in my life. I have to say it's been quit the adventure. We have grown in so many ways. I am most grateful to him for making me a better person. He has taught me so many things and has been so patient with me through all my learning. He has given me 5 beautiful children and has encouraged me always to be a good mother. I'm so glad he chose me. I love you Honey and look forward to what's ahead.

Happy Birthday Tuck "Man"!

Tucker's 1st Birthday!
After lapping up the water off the patio.

1st Halloween wearing the Zebra costume that all the boys wore.

2nd Birthday picture.

3rd Birthday bowling party.
Future Wrestler!!!PreSchool Graduate Class of 2007

My baby boy is 4 years old today. He was our little surprise and we are so thankful someone knew we needed 1 more blessing in our family. He has been such a joy. Everyone loves Tucker and he loves everyone back. He loves hangin' with his older brothers and looking cool. He has a very vivid imagination that allows him all kinds exciting adventures. He has his very own imaginary monster he calls a "ROOSKER". He enjoys telling people he has girlfriends and is going to Chuckee Cheese. Since Blythe has gone to school this year he has been my little shopping buddy who loves to buy candy with the money he finds in his Dad's work van. We love you Tucker, Happy Birthday!

My Little Monsters

Blythe was an "Ice Princess" she helped buy this costume herself.

I finally got Tucker to put on the "Fireman" costume. You can see how thrilled he was.

Micah finally decided he was going to be Zorro.

What can I say about Hayden...

Here are some pictures from our Halloween. Like every other Mom on the planet, I am so glad Halloween in over. That's actually the reason I haven't blogged the past couple of days...I've been celebrating. One other thing I have to say about Halloween, I was so sick of my kids changing there costumes. They ALL had to be something different for school, the trunk or treat and then trick or treating. We had costumes EVERYWHERE!!! I only chose to post the "original" costumes of choice. P.S. Brigg was too big to dress up this year.(So he says)

Happy Halloween & Peace!

I ran across this picture the other day and have just been waiting for the perfect moment to post it. You have to know our family to appreciate this picture to it's fullest. There were a few staple costumes in the Waite house growing up and I have to say that my sister Emily (the Hypie pictured in the photo above) was always the queen for pulling a "scrounge around the house and find something to wear" costume. I wish I had pictures of her Gypsy, Hobo, Baby, or other costumes. Love you guys. Thanks for the memories. (I'm not sure what Andy was in this picture...maybe he can clear that up for us.) Sorry that Sam & Molly won't be able to relate.

Halloween & Sorts

You know those days when you feel like you were a good Mom and did something with your kids, you maybe didn't want to but you knew it would make your kids happy (and stop hounding you)? I DID IT! The kids have been wanting to carve their pumpkins since we bought them 4 weeks ago for FHE. We finally did it tonight for FHE. I have to admit it was fun, very messy but a lot of fun. Each of the kids picked out what they wanted to carve, and for the most part did most of the work themselves.

From left to right: Tucker-Spider, Brigg-Alien, Blythe-Skull, Hayden-NY Giants, Micah-Bat.

We washed the seeds and roasted them for our refreshment. Like I said it was a lot of fun and the kids had a blast. I have to just add this one picture of Tucker from this weekend. We went to a couple of Halloween parties on Friday and I really wanted Tucker to be a fireman. I have the cutest costume, but no Tucker had his mind set on another costume. The funny thing about this costume is it's my little brother Sam's old costume (he's 16 now). It is completely streched out, torn and covered in runs and mystery stains. He loved it though and told everyone he was a Power Ranger, "a girl on the red side and a boy on the blue side"...hum? Hopefully I can get him in his fireman costume for Halloween. Stay tuned...I'll post pictures.

I've Been Tagged?

Becky tagged me so if you want to know what that is, go to her blog. Also before anyone else picks them I am tagging Tim, Brenda, Amanda, Andy, Amber, & Molly. Love ya! Now for my 6 random facts about myself...

1. I love to read the obituaries on Sunday. I know it sounds morbid and in fact I very rarely even know anyone who has died. I am just always fascinated with what people will write in an obituary and I'm always curious of what is noteworthy or not. Just for future reference you know. ( I believe this is also one of my Dad's random facts.)

2. I am a compulsive over scheduler. Oh, I didn't say that the right way...My name is Anna and I am a compulsive over scheduler. I can't help it and I don't think there is anything I can do about it. So lets move on to fact #3

3. I love circus peanuts. I know to most people they look and taste disgusting but I love them. They make me happy and I'm sure there is some deep seeded childhood repressed memory that keeps me coming back for more.

4. I hate the Dentist more than anything, and I know many of you can relate. I would rather do almost anything, even visit the ol' Gynie than go to the dentist.

5. I have a really hard time throwing things away. Wait, I think there is a word for that. I am a PACK RAT. I believe this is also something I inherited from my Dad's side of the family.

6. Everyone has something they would secretly like to be someday, here's mine. I want to be a professional golfer. Isn't that crazy? I don't even get to golf that much anymore in fact I don't even own a full set of golf clubs, but I would really like to. (Trent: hint for Birthday, Christmas, Anniversary 11/12)

Okay so there you go everyone. 6 random facts about me. Thanks for the tag Becky, and everyone who I tagged, have fun.

Happy Birthday Blythe!

I have loved all the tributes that mothers have written on their blogs on their childs birthdays, and now it's my turn. My one and only sweet baby girl turns 6 years old today. After having 3 wonderful boys you can imagine the joy I felt when I found out I was pregnant with my first girl. All my life I had wanted to be the mother of a girl. When she was born I knew right away I was going to have my work cut out for me. She has been everything I expected and more. By more I mean more drama, more pink, more tears, more hair, more ribbons, more clothes, more cuddling, more attention, more lipgloss, more dolls, and most of all more love. She is my most affectionate child. She is so loving and kind and loves to give kisses and hugs. Her dad was really hoping that she would have been born with a huge hairy mole on her face to keep all the boys away, but not so. She is a beautiful girl who instead we are going to be paying thousands of dollars to get her teeth fixed when she stops sucking her thumb. At times she thinks her life has been cursed with 4 brothers but then I remind her how lucky she is that she gets to be Mom's most favorite daughter. I love you Blythe and wish you a most wonderful birthday. You make me happy!

Family

Last week I was so lucky and had my sister Amanda come visit me from Idaho. As much as I love her coming to visit I love even more how much fun my kids have with their cousins. Growing up I loved more than anything spending time with my cousins. I have always felt strongly about my children having close ties and fond memories of their cousins. We had such a good time and my kids can't wait for Christmas when all there cousins will be here for a Family Reunion with my siblings. I'm so glad that my parents created all those memories for me growing up and now I want to do the same for my kids. I miss my family so much, it's
the hardest thing about living in Utah. But it does make me grateful for the time I get to spend with family when they come to visit. Thank you Amanda for visiting me last week. I love you!

Happy Birthday Timmy!

Today is my brother Tim's birthday and as you can see he is one wild and crazy guy. Tim and I are only 15 months a part and I have to say that growing up he was probably my bestfriend. Crazy, I know. There were many times growing up I wanted to kill him and many times he tried to kill me. When I was in 8th grade and he was in 7th our parents moved from one side of town to the other. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal but for me it was. I left all my friends and everything I felt so comfortable with behind and it was HARD! If it hadn't been for Tim being at my school and being there for me to hang out with I would have had an even harder time. It was hard enough going into High School without him. He is such a wonderful guy who I admire so much. Thanks for making me laugh Tim. I love you and hope you have a wonderful birthday.

MY VERY OWN PIF

I know this is the moment that you have all been waiting for. In fact, it's the moment I have been waiting for. I believe I actually won 2 PIF's last week(Thank you Emily W. & Becky) and now I am fulfilling my prophesy and announcing my very own PIF. First of all I have to just say how incredibly intimidated I am. I also need to let all know I am in no way shape or form crafty, so you will not be receiving anything cute and homemade from me. What you will receive, and I believe I am stealing this idea from others like me & Oprah, is a surprise package of some of my favorite things. Yes, you heard me right. 3 lucky winners will receive an assortment of some of the things that make me happy and will hopefully make you a little happy, if you win. Okay now for a few simple rules...

1. You must leave a comment on my Blog, and I don't even have to know who you are. Isn't that nice of me?
2. You must have a blog of your own. (And you need to know, that was the beginning of my blog world.)
3. If you have not already done your own PIF, you will have to do your own PIF following your celebration dance after you have won mine.
4. I will draw the winners sometime Saturday night 10/13.

I would like to thank you all in advance for entering my PIF. Happy commenting.

My Baby

Tucker is our youngest and I have to admit I have been having a good time growing out his hair. First of all I think it's cute, second I love the comments I get especially from elderly men about "How cute HER hair is," and third I like the rise I get out of some people including my husband and inlaws. But today I finally decided I was tired of using a half a bottle of detangler and all the crying and screaming and chasing down the hall everytime I need to comb his hair. So today we have a little surprise for Daddy when he gets home. I don't think it looks like my baby but I hope I will get used to it. What do you think?

I'm Touched!

Can I just say how touched I am that so many of you left comments for ME. I would like to personally thank my sister Emily for her post on her blog asking any and all to comment on her sisters new blog. That is how pitiful I am. I do need to announce that I have entered 2 PIF's and am anxiously awaiting the results. Boy are you all going to be so lucky if I win... Stay tuned! I know my husband is just waiting for me to put something real juicy and exciting on my blog but you are going to have to just keep checking in until something so significant I can't manage to keep it to myself appears for all to read. Thanks again for all the encouraging comments.

New Blogger

Okay, here goes. First I have to say that I am one of those people who always said I would NEVER have a blog. Well then my sisters Emily & Amanda gained up on me and now here I am. Another confession I must make is that I want to enter some PIF's and that means I have to have my own Blog. How selfish can I be? However, that does mean that if I actually win a PIF I will in turn be able to do something unselfish, right? Now the task of learning how to actually run my Blog. (Please be nice as I start this new venture of my life, like I needed anything else to do during the day.)
