Happy Halloween & Peace!

I ran across this picture the other day and have just been waiting for the perfect moment to post it. You have to know our family to appreciate this picture to it's fullest. There were a few staple costumes in the Waite house growing up and I have to say that my sister Emily (the Hypie pictured in the photo above) was always the queen for pulling a "scrounge around the house and find something to wear" costume. I wish I had pictures of her Gypsy, Hobo, Baby, or other costumes. Love you guys. Thanks for the memories. (I'm not sure what Andy was in this picture...maybe he can clear that up for us.) Sorry that Sam & Molly won't be able to relate.

Halloween & Sorts

You know those days when you feel like you were a good Mom and did something with your kids, you maybe didn't want to but you knew it would make your kids happy (and stop hounding you)? I DID IT! The kids have been wanting to carve their pumpkins since we bought them 4 weeks ago for FHE. We finally did it tonight for FHE. I have to admit it was fun, very messy but a lot of fun. Each of the kids picked out what they wanted to carve, and for the most part did most of the work themselves.

From left to right: Tucker-Spider, Brigg-Alien, Blythe-Skull, Hayden-NY Giants, Micah-Bat.

We washed the seeds and roasted them for our refreshment. Like I said it was a lot of fun and the kids had a blast. I have to just add this one picture of Tucker from this weekend. We went to a couple of Halloween parties on Friday and I really wanted Tucker to be a fireman. I have the cutest costume, but no Tucker had his mind set on another costume. The funny thing about this costume is it's my little brother Sam's old costume (he's 16 now). It is completely streched out, torn and covered in runs and mystery stains. He loved it though and told everyone he was a Power Ranger, "a girl on the red side and a boy on the blue side"...hum? Hopefully I can get him in his fireman costume for Halloween. Stay tuned...I'll post pictures.

I've Been Tagged?

Becky tagged me so if you want to know what that is, go to her blog. Also before anyone else picks them I am tagging Tim, Brenda, Amanda, Andy, Amber, & Molly. Love ya! Now for my 6 random facts about myself...

1. I love to read the obituaries on Sunday. I know it sounds morbid and in fact I very rarely even know anyone who has died. I am just always fascinated with what people will write in an obituary and I'm always curious of what is noteworthy or not. Just for future reference you know. ( I believe this is also one of my Dad's random facts.)

2. I am a compulsive over scheduler. Oh, I didn't say that the right way...My name is Anna and I am a compulsive over scheduler. I can't help it and I don't think there is anything I can do about it. So lets move on to fact #3

3. I love circus peanuts. I know to most people they look and taste disgusting but I love them. They make me happy and I'm sure there is some deep seeded childhood repressed memory that keeps me coming back for more.

4. I hate the Dentist more than anything, and I know many of you can relate. I would rather do almost anything, even visit the ol' Gynie than go to the dentist.

5. I have a really hard time throwing things away. Wait, I think there is a word for that. I am a PACK RAT. I believe this is also something I inherited from my Dad's side of the family.

6. Everyone has something they would secretly like to be someday, here's mine. I want to be a professional golfer. Isn't that crazy? I don't even get to golf that much anymore in fact I don't even own a full set of golf clubs, but I would really like to. (Trent: hint for Birthday, Christmas, Anniversary 11/12)

Okay so there you go everyone. 6 random facts about me. Thanks for the tag Becky, and everyone who I tagged, have fun.

Happy Birthday Blythe!

I have loved all the tributes that mothers have written on their blogs on their childs birthdays, and now it's my turn. My one and only sweet baby girl turns 6 years old today. After having 3 wonderful boys you can imagine the joy I felt when I found out I was pregnant with my first girl. All my life I had wanted to be the mother of a girl. When she was born I knew right away I was going to have my work cut out for me. She has been everything I expected and more. By more I mean more drama, more pink, more tears, more hair, more ribbons, more clothes, more cuddling, more attention, more lipgloss, more dolls, and most of all more love. She is my most affectionate child. She is so loving and kind and loves to give kisses and hugs. Her dad was really hoping that she would have been born with a huge hairy mole on her face to keep all the boys away, but not so. She is a beautiful girl who instead we are going to be paying thousands of dollars to get her teeth fixed when she stops sucking her thumb. At times she thinks her life has been cursed with 4 brothers but then I remind her how lucky she is that she gets to be Mom's most favorite daughter. I love you Blythe and wish you a most wonderful birthday. You make me happy!

Family

Last week I was so lucky and had my sister Amanda come visit me from Idaho. As much as I love her coming to visit I love even more how much fun my kids have with their cousins. Growing up I loved more than anything spending time with my cousins. I have always felt strongly about my children having close ties and fond memories of their cousins. We had such a good time and my kids can't wait for Christmas when all there cousins will be here for a Family Reunion with my siblings. I'm so glad that my parents created all those memories for me growing up and now I want to do the same for my kids. I miss my family so much, it's
the hardest thing about living in Utah. But it does make me grateful for the time I get to spend with family when they come to visit. Thank you Amanda for visiting me last week. I love you!

Happy Birthday Timmy!

Today is my brother Tim's birthday and as you can see he is one wild and crazy guy. Tim and I are only 15 months a part and I have to say that growing up he was probably my bestfriend. Crazy, I know. There were many times growing up I wanted to kill him and many times he tried to kill me. When I was in 8th grade and he was in 7th our parents moved from one side of town to the other. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal but for me it was. I left all my friends and everything I felt so comfortable with behind and it was HARD! If it hadn't been for Tim being at my school and being there for me to hang out with I would have had an even harder time. It was hard enough going into High School without him. He is such a wonderful guy who I admire so much. Thanks for making me laugh Tim. I love you and hope you have a wonderful birthday.

MY VERY OWN PIF

I know this is the moment that you have all been waiting for. In fact, it's the moment I have been waiting for. I believe I actually won 2 PIF's last week(Thank you Emily W. & Becky) and now I am fulfilling my prophesy and announcing my very own PIF. First of all I have to just say how incredibly intimidated I am. I also need to let all know I am in no way shape or form crafty, so you will not be receiving anything cute and homemade from me. What you will receive, and I believe I am stealing this idea from others like me & Oprah, is a surprise package of some of my favorite things. Yes, you heard me right. 3 lucky winners will receive an assortment of some of the things that make me happy and will hopefully make you a little happy, if you win. Okay now for a few simple rules...

1. You must leave a comment on my Blog, and I don't even have to know who you are. Isn't that nice of me?
2. You must have a blog of your own. (And you need to know, that was the beginning of my blog world.)
3. If you have not already done your own PIF, you will have to do your own PIF following your celebration dance after you have won mine.
4. I will draw the winners sometime Saturday night 10/13.

I would like to thank you all in advance for entering my PIF. Happy commenting.

My Baby

Tucker is our youngest and I have to admit I have been having a good time growing out his hair. First of all I think it's cute, second I love the comments I get especially from elderly men about "How cute HER hair is," and third I like the rise I get out of some people including my husband and inlaws. But today I finally decided I was tired of using a half a bottle of detangler and all the crying and screaming and chasing down the hall everytime I need to comb his hair. So today we have a little surprise for Daddy when he gets home. I don't think it looks like my baby but I hope I will get used to it. What do you think?

I'm Touched!

Can I just say how touched I am that so many of you left comments for ME. I would like to personally thank my sister Emily for her post on her blog asking any and all to comment on her sisters new blog. That is how pitiful I am. I do need to announce that I have entered 2 PIF's and am anxiously awaiting the results. Boy are you all going to be so lucky if I win... Stay tuned! I know my husband is just waiting for me to put something real juicy and exciting on my blog but you are going to have to just keep checking in until something so significant I can't manage to keep it to myself appears for all to read. Thanks again for all the encouraging comments.
