Last night our great friends & neighbors called us at about 8 pm asking if Trent & I wanted to go get sushi with them. At first this sounded totally spontaneous and something I had never done before. After a REALLY bad week I was totally up to it. We ordered 3 different kinds of sushi : Las Vegas Roll, Mars, & Rainbow. Those 3 names alone should have been my first clue that I wasn't going to like it, but I had to try...and I did. Trent forced me to take a taste of the wusabi which just about blew me away. If you have never tried that stuff...stay away. To say the least I did not enjoy my sushi experience. I don't think I could ever talk myself into trying it again. I do have to say that the company was awesome and I have really been enjoying hanging out with our new best friends.

Sorry you had a bad week. Not so sorry you didn't like Sushi...but you are more brave than I would have been. I would have told those "best friends" to take a flying leap and take me to Outback, or GoodWood, or somewhere with BEEF! Cooked beef that is.
Hope you have a better week. And...I am looking for some help with the kindergarten Easter party...interested?

I'm with you. however my hubby LOVES the stuff and can't get enough. He went to Japan on his mission. He totally soaks the sushi with wasabi, my theory is its so you can't taste the sushi. whatever, its sick. Once in a while he will talk me into taking a bite, I don't think I've ever swallowed any though.

NASTY. I've never tried sushi, and I don't ever want to try. Especially after this post. :) Anything raw is disgusting in my book!
Sushi is my FAVORITE!!! Wasabi is just like green horseradish sauce. Maybe you should go back and try a dynamite roll, or any of the dragons.

I love sushi. I can eat it for every meal everday and I can not get enough wasabi. I prefer my fish to be raw. It taste much better that way. You do need to go back and try something different.

I love it!! Where did you go? Have you tried Happy Sumo? They are good but very expensive. The best place I have ever found for sushi is Izumo's in Bakersfield. They give you so much food for so little yen. And it is soooo good. You have to give it another try! Next time you are in Bako, go to Izumo's and order the Izumo special. Better yet, wait until we're there too. The last time we went Tim was there, and your mom and dad, and Grandma Bailey, and I think Sam & Michelle. Sam would not think of going to Bakersfield without stopping for an Izumo California roll, right Sam? Oh man, I wish I had some sushi right now!
I can't stand the stuff, just nasty. Wasabi should be banned!! Fun to go out with friends though- sorry about a not so great week, maybe next week will be better. :)

I'm all about trying new things but I might just have to draw the line at sushi. I give you mad props for trying it though.
Okay, where are the 7 things? When are you all coming over? This weekend being stake conference and what not is probably out, but what about next weekend? Are you taking reservations that far in advance? Are you going to call me or what? I've only had California rolls. I have to say that any type of meat that's not cooked. No thanks
