Bugs & Boys

What is it with Bugs & Boys? For realsy. Tucker has been OBSESSED with bugs forever. Lately we have had an invasion of Praying Mantis in our area. He catches a new one everyday. He loves bug books and one of his favorite is this guy's book from Animal Planet, Ruud. On the cover of his book is this picture of him with a tarantula on his face. Tucker came to me with this Praying Mantis on his face and wanted his picture taken. What a boy! It actually really creeps me out.

Maybe the Praying Mantis invasion is going to be like the Mormon Cricket invasion. You are in "the territory".

You're nice to even let them in the house. Yuck.

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

I'm so glad my kids aren't into bugs. Bub screams and runs away like a little girl every time he sees a bug, spider or fly. haha

Yeah, that's pretty gross. Great photo though.

Your post made me laugh, you are such a good mom! Your kids are all so stinkin' cute. I just love em! Yes, even Hayden!

I almost couldn[t leave you a comment. The picture of the guy with the tarantula is just nasty!!! I am glad none of my kids have been huge bug fans, I don't think I could have handled it:)

That thing's mouth is disturbingly close to Tucker's eye. Creepy, yet somehow cute. That boy could make anything look adorable.

Ah boys. Gotta love 'em. Praying mantis' really creep me out. They seem so intelligent, like they could take over Earth if they could just get their act together.

We had our first day of school today. It was wonderful! A little bittersweet but I would still have to say I am happy to be back on schedule and have someone keeping my kids entertained and on lunch duty as well.
