So, I took Brigg to the Orthodontist for a "Free" consultation. Why didn't I know that I was going to have to donate a kidney or some other vital organ on the black market to be able to afford braces for just 1 of my kids. Unfortunately, our kids got REALLY bad genes in the oral region. (Trent and I both had braces.) I have this thing about straight teeth so this is going to have to be a must. I'm just SHOCKED at how much it's going to cost. Those of you who KNOW me real well know that there is a certain cosmetic surgery I have wanted forever...Well, if I wasn't putting braces on my kid...Tell me what a good Mom I am for sacrificing my own selfish wants for my kids good looks. WHATEVER!
I’ve met the love of my life.

I am DREADING the oral straightening Imma have to do. Yuck.
ps. you get mom of the year for sacrificing "the girls" for your kids.
^^sorry I couldn't help it.
I just got that same surprised for Morgan's teeth, yikes! I just wanted to tell you Anna, that you can always move back to Bakersfield. Your old house is up for sell! You know Bakersfield is a great place! :)
Been there, done that 7 times...Still have a kid who won't wear retainer. Mom&Dad
Oh dear this left me worried for my turn.... :)
We'll probably have 6 or 7 kids in braces. Thank goodness not all at once. My heart goes out to you!
Maybe you could just do the top teeth on Brigg and one of the "girls" for you. Everyone is happy.
There are no guarantees for braces, I have to get mine redone. So you may as well just take care of yourself first. OR, you could just pay careful attention to the Ortho while he is doing Brigg's teeth and then do the other kids on your own.
I'm just curious, did Trent get a vote?
^perv. I need tons of elective surgeries. I keep praying that Cord's tooth will settle back in line with the rest of them.
I feel your pain!! Zach is almost done with his braces (about a month till they are off). Matthew just needs to lose a few more baby teeth then it is his turn. Did you go see Bart Gardiner? He does braces and was pretty well priced. I say get the girls done (I am assuming that is what you are talking about) -- if the kids want straight teeth they can pay for it as an adult :)
Ever heard the term "Ladies first"?
Love the photo you chose to accompany this post. I'm right there with you. We'll be doing the braces thing too.
listen, speaking from a hot single women with straight teeth point of view, staright teeth are a must..along with a nice rack..just kidding mom
hey I just thought of something! Write them a bad check for the wires then go pay cash for your secret(boob) job
First of all, I love all the random pictures you always find to put on your blog. You are awesome.
Second, I'm with you on the straight teeth. It's a must.
Third, I am not looking forward to these days for my kids. I know they will come. The Culley's have some wierd and funky teeth genes too!
Fourth, you are a great mom. And I think you are beautiful...why would you ever need cosmetic surgery? :)
Is that your twin brother when you were a kid??
Hayley was lucky with nice straight teeth but I see my orthodonist bill heading my way with a couple of kids.
I was shocked at the price of Jack's appliance.
I agree though, nothing beats a sparkling STRAIGHT set of teeth!
Head Gear...that'll teach 'em to not have straight teeth.
I never had a head gear, but I had a huge retainer, and braces. Not fun for those pocket books.
Susannah, who is barely 9, has had braces and head gear for a year and a half, but this is just phase 1. She will need a second phase in jr. high and gum surgery in a few months. Her mouth is JACKED UP! It'll cost us around $10,000 just for her! And we have 4 more kids! And I'm so there with you and wanting some "elective surgeries"! But it will never happen in my case. Too many other things on the list for us! Good luck! I can totally sympathize.
That's not what i'm going to look like is it?
